Abstract
The relevance of the study is determined by the need to improve the methodology for developing foreign language competence among foreign applicants for higher education to overcome cultural barriers and establish professional communication. The aim of the study is to identify the key features of the introduction of interactive methods of learning a foreign language in the context of Ukrainian linguodidactics among foreign medical students. In the course of scientific work, the author applied general research methods, in particular, the analysis of scientific and methodological literature, generalisation of the information obtained and comparison of pedagogical interactive teaching methods. The article clarifies the content of the concepts of “teaching method” and “interactive learning” based on the views of Ukrainian and foreign scientists. Notably, the method of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language is a way of implementing the educational, developmental and educational goal of teaching, aimed at organising an effective educational process, the main task of which is to achieve the desired result. The main interactive methods of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language in a medical institution of higher education are highlighted, namely: the method of business game, the method of brainstorming, the method of educational discussion, the method of training exercises, the method of mixed learning, the case method, the thesaurus method. The stages and features of implementing each individual interactive method are considered, and examples of exercises for their application in the study of the Ukrainian language by foreign medical students. It is found that the effectiveness of interactive teaching methods is determined by the consistency and integrity of their use. The value of scientific work lies in the development of a theoretical basis for further implementation of interactive methods in practice in higher medical educational institutions
