The names, email addresses and other contact details provided by users, authors, reviewers or other participants in the journal’s editorial process are used exclusively for purposes related to the journal’s activities. Such data are used to organise the submission, peer review, editing and publication of materials, communication with authors and reviewers, and to inform users within the editorial and publishing process.

The personal data provided are not transferred to third parties, are not used for external purposes and are not used outside the tasks defined by the journal’s policy, except in cases provided for by applicable law or necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the editorial process.

Data Privacy Policy

Data obtained from registered and unregistered users of the journal are processed in accordance with the standard practice of peer-reviewed scientific journals. Such data may include information necessary to maintain communication between authors, editors, reviewers and readers, as well as information required to ensure transparency of authorship, editorial processing, peer review and publication of scientific materials.

The journal collects and uses only those personal data that are necessary for organising editorial and publishing activities, maintaining scientific communication, ensuring access to published content and properly documenting the editorial process.

Authors who submit and publish materials in the journal are responsible for complying with confidentiality requirements concerning persons who participated in the studies described in their manuscripts. This applies, in particular, to respondents, participants in surveys, interviews, experiments or other research procedures. Authors must ensure that the personal data of such persons have been collected, processed and presented in compliance with ethical standards, the principles of informed consent, anonymity and confidentiality, and applicable legislation on personal data protection.

Persons involved in the work of the journal, including editors, members of the editorial board, reviewers, technical editors and other authorised staff, must comply with appropriate standards of data protection and confidentiality. They are not permitted to disclose personal data obtained within the editorial process or to use them for purposes unrelated to the journal’s activities.

When processing personal data, the journal is guided by international standards of information protection, in particular the provisions of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These provisions include respect for the rights of data subjects, including the right to be notified in the event of a data security breach, the right to access one’s own personal data, the right to rectification or erasure of data, the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability, and the principle of privacy by design.

At the same time, the journal recognises that, in the field of scientific publishing, it is important to maintain a balance between personal data protection and the public interest in preserving the integrity, accessibility and reliability of the scientific record. This means that data related to already published materials, editorial decisions, authorship, peer review or corrections to publications may be retained to the extent necessary to maintain academic integrity, transparency of scientific communication and the reliability of the public archive of scientific publications.

The journal takes reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, unlawful use, alteration or disclosure. Access to such data is granted only to authorised persons who require this information to perform editorial, technical or administrative functions.

Journal users have the right to contact the editorial office regarding the processing, clarification, updating or deletion of their personal data, provided that such deletion does not contradict legal requirements, the journal’s editorial policy or the need to preserve an accurate scientific record.
