Cultural approach as a basis of formation of linguo cultural competence

Abstract

The article touches the problem of essence and specificity of the of "linguocultural competence" concept; linguocultural peculiarities of competence in the context of pedagogical knowledge; the role and place of cultural approach in formation of linguocultural competence of students; educational opportunities of linguistic disciplines cycle in formation of intercultural competence of students; substantiates the feasibility of using interactive teaching methods to form linguocultural competence. Mastering a foreign language as a means of communication shall be provided by culturological and linguocultiral material that allows students to understand themselves as citizens of the world, identifying the broad social community. This helps to understand better their own national identity. In addressing these issues can play a significant role such interactive forms as a method of situation tasks, project method and organization forms of gaming. Cultural competence is not the same with language: transformation the language competence into cultural interpretation based on the language signs in terms of cultural code. Characteristics of this kind of interpretation is of the cultural and linguistic competence.
