Abstract

The article presents the analysis of the methods of the development of coherent speech in Ukrainian lessons in elementary classes. Special attention is paid to the traditional and innovative methods in context of the formation and development of the New Ukrainian School. The use of multimedia in the learning process creates appropriate conditions for the fuller achievement of the pedagogical goals of the educational process. The author stresses that rational integrated application enhances their effectiveness in implementing forms and methods and tools, the selection of which must be carried out taking into account the individual-age interests, features of the purpose, goals and content of studying. In such conditions of formation and development of the New Ukrainian school, the use of traditional methods of student speech development remains relevant. The use of multimedia technologies in the educational process optimizes its transition to a qualitatively new level, positively affects the motivation of students to study activities, increases their ability and activity in choosing methods to perform the tasks that face them. The outline of the theoretical basis for the application of optimal methods of teaching the Ukrainian language quite naturally requires a multidimensional analysis of the problem of the development of coherent speech for elementary school students.
