The article presents the information on the development of the cultural-educational and socio-political life of the land during the feudal times, that is the writing, the origin of historical knowledge to the eighteenth century, the development of education, literature, humanitarian sciences until the middle of the nineteenth century, the cultural connections of the Transcarpathian with the population Of Ukraine. The ancient literary memorial soft he 12th-18th centuries that came to us were books of church use: liturgical, mines, gospels, psalteries, etc. A separate group of memorial smakes it possible to trace the process of the origin of historical knowledge. These are: "the last record" in church books, the "teaching" of the gospel, the Huklivsky Chronicle, e.t.c. In the XII-XVIII centuries in incunabula, manuscripts and Slavic printed books of church and secular nature, including the Ostroh Bibleby Ivan Fedorov (1581), cametoTranscarpathiafromdifferentcitiesofUkraineand European countries. Especially a lot of literature, including the works of individual writers, was imported from the east in the 18th – the firs thalf of the19th century, which intensified the attraction of Transcarpathians to education, their thirst for knowledge, and supported a sense of spiritual fellowship with the Eastern Slavs. The article deals with the information on the development of public education in the16th – the first half of the19th century, in particular the expansion of the school network. Along with church schools, in cities and large villages, the number of "Russian" folk schools grew. An important event in the cultural and educational life of Transcarpathia was the establishment in Uzhhorodin 1793 of the first teacher's seminary with the Ukrainian language of instruction at the expense of the population. The opening of secondary schools, where a lot of subjects were taught in the native language, was one of the means of combating Transcarpathians against Latinization and catholicism.
