The article highlights the main results of the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of higher education, analyzes the concrete results of the implementation of European principles into the national high school. This included the approved list of disciplines and specialties for training seekers of higher education, established National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, canceled bound form of the document on higher education, regulated the procedure for education and training in foreign universities. It is also highlighted the first achievements to implement European standards in Ukrainian high school, pre-school and vocational education: developing lifelong learning mechanism, introduced inclusive education for persons with disabilities, made a gradual transition to profile training at school. Expressed need of a comprehensive discussion of ways of reforming the educational sector with a wide range of interests: teachers, parents, students, members of the public.
