Abstract
The article deals with the problem of reforming the educational process in school and higher educational establishments of Ukraine. According to the author’s point of view, the problem lies not only in the lack of adequate financial support of educational establishments, including educational devices, computers and others. More significant changes can be achieved due to a shift of emphasis in the training of pupils and students transferring them ready knowledge to develop their abilities. For this reason the appropriate objectives and other teaching tools have been developed. They have been tested and implemented into appropriate teaching practice, particularly in the preparation and conducting established by the Ministry of Education and Science and its initiative Ukrainian nationwide open contests of young inventors and innovators and Ukrainian nationwide competitions for young researchers and inventors "Edison of XXI century".
