Abstract
This article analyzes the approaches to the definition of "skills" and "intellectual ability". These concepts have been clarified under the main routes of investigation. Approaches to identifying key groups of intellectual abilities and their specificity have been studied. The results of the analysis of the proposed distribution of intellectual skills of the defined groups (analytical synthetic, skill and proficiency of perception; evaluative and adjustable, the ability to conduct a reflexive analysis).
