The results of a retrospective analysis of ornamental devices of Podillya Ukrainian towel have been suggested in the article. Systematization of the kinds of ornaments have been made. The symbolic meaning of the basic elements of Podillya ornament embroidery have been admitted. Structural analysis of the ornament of Podillya embroidered towel is increased by schematic images that can not only expand and improve the information field with its design, but also open up new approaches to create its compositions. The article focuses on personal artistic and aesthetic development of teachers and students of art schools, the formation of competences in the field of artistic culture in the process of mastering the Ukrainian cultural values and artistic heritage; expanding the content of artistic and aesthetic education experience and mastery of creative activity.
