Features of the formation of multicultural competence of the future artist in an educational foreign language environment

Abstract

The essence and peculiarities of the formation of multicultural competence of future artists were reflected in this research. It has been found out by means of theoretical analysis of recent publications, that the announced problem was reflected in the scientific researches of many modern researchers. The peculiarities of the formation of multicultural competence of students at English lessons are identified which include: 1) removal of complexes and language barriers in communication. 2) studying work with different sources, memorizing, thinking and communicating with representatives of different races, nationalities, confessions and cultural environment; 3) development of reading comprehension skills, enrichment of the lexical word stock; 4) use of both traditional and innovative forms and methods of teaching foreign language. With regard to multicultural competence, it can be represented by the knowledge and practical mastering of English about native culture, as well as knowledge about the multicultural environment of the world, the cognition skills of this world. The results of the analysis of the features of multicultural competence by many researchers make it possible to formulate its generalized understanding. The scientific novelty is in distinguishing the peculiarities of the formation of multicultural competence and the use of a multicultural approach in the teaching artists English language. Practical significance of the investigation is taking into account the peculiarities of multicultural competence formation which can promote better relationship within the group or team, can correct some of disadvantages of existing educational principles and create a better learning atmosphere in heterogeneous groups.
