This paper deals with the problem of self-study in preparation of future teachers in universities. Particular attention is paid to the ways of formation of self-study in preparation of future teachers in the study of discipline "Culture of professional broadcasting." The necessity to intensify independent work. The basic teaching principles of independent work on discipline "Culture of professional speech" at different stages of the learning process in pedagogical universities are the main tasks of modern education. In the process of modernization of preschool and school worlds there is an urgent need for highly qualified professionals, so an increase in the intelligent query for future teachers and at the same time, new educational technologies, which must be aware of every future specialist. The process of implementing credit module system in higher education, a significant part of the curriculum is introduced to an independent study students. Therefore, the main task of the teacher in high school is not teaching a set of ready reproductive knowledge and active organization of independent work. Analysis of psychological and pedagogical sources indicates that the success of training specialists depends on many factors, one of which is independent work of students. Due to the growing role of independent work in teaching and learning process while learning discipline "Culture of professional speech" became urgent problem of rational self-study considering readiness for her students. The course "Culture of professional broadcasting" in the communal institution "Kharkiv Humanitarian Pedagogical Academy" Kharkiv Regional Council is aimed at students in the pursuit of raising the prestige of the state language in Ukraine higher pedagogical education and training of future Ukrainian language specialists who teach young nation country. Entry-depth knowledge of the Ukrainian language for professional communication, acquiring in the process of studying the high culture of professional communication state language - the main duty of teacher education in universities.
