The traditions of decorative and applied arts as a means of artistic and aesthetic education of youth

Abstract.

The largest educational effect on students is given by familiarity with decorative art and folk crafts Transcarpathia. Products of craftsmen differ in sense of material, by organic unity of utility (practical orientation) of thing with her decor, national colour, high morally-aesthetic dignities. Such an educative charge is incorporated in folk art (not only in the finished product, pleasing to the eye, but also in the process, in the technology of their creation), which naturally raises the question of the most active use of it while working with children. The task of the teacher is to guide the creative process, focusing on the study of samples of folk arts and crafts. The principle focus on folk art embedded in content-based classes with children with various kinds of arts and crafts. Using folk decorative art as an active means of aesthetic education in additional education system has its advantages. Making beautiful and necessary items with your own hands is increasing interest in the work and brings satisfaction with the results of the work, stimulates the desire to further activity. Decorative-applied arts set major tasks: to form students’ aesthetic attitude to work, to teach to use tools and equipment, to appreciate and value beauty. Aesthetic education in the classroom is based on the development of interest and creative abilities of children. All educational products should be chosen on the basis of a number of psychological characteristics of students, since only in this case there is interest and motivation to further educational-cognitive activity. All items of work should be chosen in such a way that they were most informative in terms of polytechnic education, had an aesthetic appeal, and gave an idea ofthe traditional art images of processing material. In addition, chosen objects open wide opportunities for creativity, which can be implemented more fully in project activities, and, finally, can be accomplished in the classroom. The importance of arts and crafts in the aesthetic education cannot be questioned, since it is in fact his essence. The feature of the decorative-applied art as a mean of education is that there a condensed and concentrated creative human experience and spiritual wealth can be found. In the artistic works of decorative art, people expressed the aesthetic attitude to endlessly developing world of social life and nature. In the arts and crafts the human inner world, his feelings, tastes and ideals are reflected. The decorative-applied art gives enormous material for cognition of life.
