The present article investigates the problems of formation of professional conciousness of future psychologists, along with the essence of the "professional conciousness" concept. The considered research results of leading native and foreign scientists who studied this problem have been generalized and systematized. Professionally important qualities and the main formation trends, along with the development of professional consiousness have been singled out. The components of formation of professional conciousness of future psychologists have been identified, along with their content analysis, in particular: cognitive, communicative, motivational, goal-oriented, and operational. The peculiarities of future psychologists’ professional competence formation have been characterised. The importance of professional consiousness as the basis for psychologist’s professional skills formation has been revealed.
